<table data-header-hidden><thead><tr><th width="155"></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>AGL</td><td>Above Ground Level.</td></tr><tr><td>ATS</td><td>Autonomous Triggering System that is independent of any flight critical system of the DJI M30/T. Used to initiate parachute deployment upon detection of a critical failure of the DJI M30/T during flight.</td></tr><tr><td>Authorized Dealer</td><td>An AVSS approved distribution partner who sells the PRS-M30.</td></tr><tr><td>Drone</td><td>When referring to a DJI M30/T, other relevant terms include Aircraft, RPAS, sUAS, UAS, and UAV.</td></tr><tr><td>End-User</td><td>The owner of the PRS-M30 who had purchased the system from an AVSS Authorized Dealer.</td></tr><tr><td>Energetic Charge</td><td>The PRS-M30 utilizes an automotive pyrotechnic as the means of deployment. These charges are similar to those in automobile airbag and seat belt systems. Caution should always be observed around the system. Ensure the system is never pointing towards someone. Note, throughout this document, the pyrotechnic charge is referenced as an "Energetic Charge".</td></tr><tr><td>FTS</td><td>Flight Termination System is a device that will disable the propulsion system of the DJI M30/T.</td></tr><tr><td>IP Rating</td><td>Ingress Protection Rating.</td></tr><tr><td>MDA</td><td><p>The Minimum Deployable Altitude is the "difference in height from the altitude at which the failure scenario commences, to the altitude at which the vertical descent speed stabilizes after parachute deployment" (ASTM F3322-24a - 6.4.3.8). </p><p></p><p>Note: previous versions of ASTM F3322 used the MDA as the final rating for the PRS; however, ASTM F3322-24a uses the Minimum Flyable Altitude Rating (MFAR) as the rating for the PRS-M30.</p></td></tr><tr><td>MFAR</td><td><p>The Minimum Flyable Altitude Rating is the lowest altitude at which the PRS-30 is rated to deploy successfully as per ASTM F3322-24a. </p><p></p><p>Per ASTM F3322-24a: "" The
minimum flyable altitude rating of the PRS will be separated
between hover and full forward flight. The minimum flyable
altitude rating will be determined by the greatest MDA calculated for the respective hover and full forward trials
during all automatic deployments, plus a 6.56 ft (2 m) buffer
and the total length of the parachute assembly. The two
additional buffers (that is, 6.56 ft and parachute assembly
length) are added to the MDA to create the MFAR to ensure the
PRS is at stabilized descent rate before it reaches ground level" (ASTM F3322-24a - 6.4.3.9).</p></td></tr><tr><td>MTD</td><td>The manual triggering device, initiated by arming the PRS through the DJI M30/T Drone Transmitter, Allows for manual deployment of the PRS-M30 system and is accessed through the Transmitter PSDK Interface. </td></tr><tr><td>Flight Modes</td><td>The PRS-M30 shall be used only in Normal Mode (N-Mode), Mission Mode, or Low-Speed Mode (T-Mode). N-mode works best when the GPS signal is strong. The DJI M30/T utilizes GPS and Forward and Downward Vision Systems to locate itself, automatically stabilize, and navigate between obstacles. Complete details can be found at <a href="https://enterprise.dji.com/dock/specs">https://enterprise.dji.com/dock/specs</a>.</td></tr><tr><td>Parachute Pod™</td><td>This refers to the non-replaceable Parachute Pod™ that contains the parachute of the AVSS PRS-M30.</td></tr><tr><td>PRS</td><td>As per ASTM F3322, a PRS is a "summation of the components of a parachute recovery system that work to reduce descent velocity."</td></tr><tr><td>PSDK</td><td>Payload Software Development Kit. This is the software application between the drone and the PRS-M30.</td></tr><tr><td>Shall and Must</td><td>“shall” and/or "must" versus “should” versus “may”, v—use of the word “shall” and/or "must" implies that a procedure or statement is mandatory and shall be followed to comply with this specification. “should” implies that this procedure/statement is recommended, and “may” implies that it is optional at the discretion of the supplier, manufacturer, or operator.</td></tr></tbody></table>
